A distinguished Egyptian Quran scholar and reciter, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Masrawy has been widely recognized for his mastery of Quranic recitation and his lifelong dedication to teaching the Holy Quran. He began memorizing the Quran at a young age, demonstrating exceptional skill in tajweed and the recognized qirā’āt (modes of recitation).
Sheikh Ahmed pursued formal Islamic studies and quickly became one of the leading voices in Quranic recitation in Egypt and the wider Muslim world. Throughout his career, he has held key leadership roles in the field of Quranic education, contributing significantly to the preservation of the Quran’s authenticity and recitation standards.
Among his many accomplishments, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Masrawy served as the Head of the Syndicate of Quran Reciters in Egypt, supporting teachers, reciters, and educational initiatives across the nation. Beyond administration, he has actively engaged in teaching, mentoring, and guiding students and educators of the Quran, combining scholarly insight with practical pedagogical guidance.
Sheikh Ahmed holds numerous honorary titles and ijazāt in Quranic recitation, including Sanad and Ijazah in the ten Qiraa-aat via the Shaatibiyyah and Durrah, as well as the ten major Qiraa-aat via the Tayyibah. His balanced approach to scholarship and teaching continues to inspire generations of Quranic learners and educators worldwide.
