Some meetings remain in the heart long after they happen — and my meeting with Sheikh Hassan Saleh was one of them. His humility, devotion, and passion for spreading the Qur’an’s beauty left a lasting mark on me and on the vision we continue to build at Alkuttab.

During our conversation, we spoke about the challenges and opportunities in teaching the Qur’an in the modern age. Sheikh Hassan emphasized that technology should serve the Qur’an, not replace the sincerity of traditional learning. His words reminded me that every digital tool we create must preserve the spirit of connection between teacher and student — the same bond that has kept Qur’an learning alive for centuries.
This encounter inspired many of the values we hold at Alkuttab today: authenticity, compassion, and the belief that knowledge is a trust, not a product. May Allah continue to bless Sheikh Hassan Saleh, increase him in knowledge and light, and allow us to follow in the path of those who serve His Book with dedication and sincerity.
“And We have certainly made the Qur’an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?” (Surah Al-Qamar, 54:17)
